STEP - 01
BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE
Before selecting a vehicle, we recommend checking your country’s current import regulations, age restrictions, inspection requirements, duties and other applicable rules. You can browse vehicles on our website or tell us your preferred make, model, year, budget and other requirements. We can then help search for suitable vehicles from Japanese auctions and dealers and, where applicable, arrange an independent pre-bid inspection before purchase.
STEP - 02
ONCE WE RECEIVE AN INQUIREY
We aim to respond to inquiries within 48 hours, excluding weekends and Japanese public holidays. You can contact us by email or WhatsApp with any questions about a vehicle or purchase. We will provide available vehicle details, an estimated quotation, shipping information and any known inspection or destination requirements so you can review the costs and process before proceeding.
STEP - 03
CONFIRMING YOUR PURCHASE
Once the vehicle and purchase terms are confirmed, we will issue a quotation or invoice showing the vehicle details, consignee information, price, payment terms and applicable export charges. A minimum deposit of 15% is generally required to secure a vehicle or before bidding at a Japanese auction, although some purchases may require a higher deposit or full payment. Please review the quotation or invoice carefully and make payment only to the designated Kaede Trading bank account shown on the document. After payment, please send us the bank transfer confirmation.
STEP - 04
SHIPPING & EXPORT PROCESS
After the required payment has been received, we arrange the necessary pre-shipment inspection, inland transportation, export documentation and shipping booking as applicable. Vessel schedules depend on shipping line availability and may change. We will keep you informed of the confirmed shipping schedule and any important updates. Once the vehicle is shipped, we provide the Bill of Lading (B/L) and other relevant shipping documents. Documents may be provided electronically, through a surrendered B/L arrangement, or originals may be sent by courier depending on the shipment and destination requirements.
STEP - 05
DESTINATION CLEARANCE
Before the vehicle arrives, the buyer should contact a local customs broker or customs authority to prepare for import clearance. Import duties, taxes, port or terminal charges, registration fees and other destination costs are normally the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise stated in the quotation. Please use the shipping documents provided by Kaede Trading to complete the local clearance process.
